Arsenal got a favorable draw in the UEFA Europa League draws made on Monday. Arsenal is the only English team still in contention in the Europa League, and will be grateful for having avoided Athletico Madrid and Dortmund to draw against a weak Swedish side FK Ostersunds.
FK Ostersunds was founded in October 1996, the same month Arsene Wenger became Arsenal manager.
The Gunners has a great record against Swedish opposition, they have never lost a European match against any Swedish team winning three and drawing one
Celtic have been drawn against Zenit St Petersburg in the first knockout stage. Celtic, who finished third in their Champions League group, will host the Russian club in the first leg on 15 February, while the second legs will be played on 22 February.
Napoli and Leipzig, two of the eight sides that transferred from the UEFA Champions League after the group stage, were paired.
How the draw worked
Two seeding pots were formed: one consisting of group winners and the four best third-ranked teams in the UEFA Champions League group stage; the other containing group runners-up and the remaining third-placed UEFA Champions League sides.
No team could play a club from their UEFA Europa League group or a side from the same national association. Based on decisions taken by the UEFA Executive Committee, teams from Russia and Ukraine could not be drawn together either.
